SUPER DUPLEX ZERON® 100 UNS S32760
High-performance super duplex stainless steel alloyed with copper and tungsten, designed for applications where mechanical strength and corrosion resistance are critical.
WHAT IS ZERON® 100?
ZERON® 100, designated as UNS S32760 / EN 1.4501, is a super duplex stainless steel with a ferritic-austenitic microstructure.
Its composition contains approximately 25% chromium, 7% nickel and 3–4% molybdenum, together with additions of copper, tungsten and nitrogen.
These characteristics provide high mechanical strength and favourable resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
This alloy is particularly suitable for seawater equipment, chemical processing, offshore installations and industrial components exposed to corrosive media.
PERFORMANCE UNDER EXTREME CONDITIONS.
Its microstructure and chemical composition make ZERON 100 suitable for demanding industrial applications.
HIGH MECHANICAL STRENGTH
High yield strength for components subjected to significant mechanical loads.
CHLORIDE RESISTANCE
Good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion under suitable service conditions.
TUNGSTEN ADDITION
Tungsten is one of the distinguishing alloying elements of this high-performance grade.
COPPER ADDITION
Copper contributes to the alloy’s performance in certain acidic media and chemical environments.
SUPER DUPLEX MICROSTRUCTURE
A combination of ferritic and austenitic phases that promotes mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
SPECIALISED MANUFACTURING
Suitable material for manufacturing technical components using CNC processes with controlled machining parameters.

Values vary depending on the applicable standard, product form and metallurgical condition. Always verify the data against the corresponding material certificate.
CNC MACHINING OF ZERON® 100
ZERON 100 offers greater cutting resistance than many austenitic stainless steels. Machining requires appropriate tooling, rigid workholding and control of feed rates, cutting speeds and coolant application.
At AREM-CNC, we can assess the manufacture of made-to-drawing components, taking account of geometry, tolerances and project requirements.

ZERON® 100 · FAQ
What is ZERON® 100?
It is a super duplex stainless steel, designated UNS S32760, containing copper and tungsten in addition to chromium, nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen.
What is the difference between ZERON 100 and Super Duplex 2507?
Both belong to the super duplex family. ZERON 100 contains controlled additions of copper and tungsten, while UNS S32750 has a different standardised composition. Material selection depends on the service environment.
Can ZERON 100 be used in seawater?
Yes, it is used in certain marine applications. Suitability must be validated against temperature, chloride concentration, flow conditions and equipment design.
Can ZERON 100 be CNC machined?
Yes. Machining processes must be adapted to its high mechanical strength, with appropriate tooling, feed rates and coolant application.
Is ZERON 100 suitable for high temperatures?
It should not be specified for prolonged high-temperature service without verifying the material’s limitations. Thermal exposure may alter its microstructure and toughness.
Can I request made-to-drawing components?
AREM-CNC can assess the feasibility of manufacturing technical components based on drawings, dimensions, tolerances and material requirements.
