SUPER DUPLEX 2507 UNS S32750
Super duplex stainless steel offering high mechanical strength and outstanding resistance to localised corrosion, particularly in marine, chemical and chloride-containing environments.
WHAT IS SUPER DUPLEX 2507?
Super Duplex 2507, designated as UNS S32750, is a stainless steel with a mixed austenitic-ferritic microstructure, developed for particularly demanding industrial applications.
Its composition contains approximately 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 4% molybdenum and a controlled amount of nitrogen.
This combination provides high resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.
It is a technical solution for industrial components requiring mechanical strength, durability and reliability in aggressive environments.

SUPER DUPLEX 2507 · FAQ
What is the difference between Duplex 2205 and Super Duplex 2507?
Both belong to the duplex stainless steel family. Super Duplex 2507 has a more highly alloyed composition and generally a higher PREN value, providing improved resistance to localised corrosion in particularly demanding environments.
Is Super Duplex 2507 resistant to seawater?
It is designed for applications requiring high resistance to chloride corrosion, including certain marine applications. Suitability depends on temperature, concentration, flow velocity, geometry and actual operating conditions.
Can Super Duplex 2507 be CNC machined?
Yes. Machining requires appropriate planning of cutting tools, cutting speeds, feed rates, coolant application and process rigidity.
Do UNS S32750 and EN 1.4410 identify the same material grade?
These are designations corresponding to Super Duplex 2507 under different standards systems. For a specific supply, the requirements of the applicable standard and specified product form must be verified.
Is Super Duplex 2507 suitable for high-temperature service?
It should not be selected solely on the basis of its corrosion resistance. Prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures may affect its properties. The permissible service temperature depends on the design code and application.
